Our Mission
Northeast Victim Service (NEVS) is a nonprofit community-based organization dedicated to supporting and empowering victims and witnesses of crime in Northeast Philadelphia. With compassion, advocacy, and respect, we help individuals navigate the justice system and begin the path to healing. We are deeply committed to strengthening our community through outreach, education, and collaborative efforts to reduce the impact of crime and promote safety for all.
Serving Philadelphia
Northeast Victim Service (NEVS) is one of seven community‑based victim service agencies in Philadelphia, proudly serving Northeast Philadelphia, an area covering approximately 50 square miles and home to a diverse population of around 405,000 residents. We serve neighborhoods including Bridesburg, Burholme, Bustleton, Castor, Fox Chase, Frankford, Holmesburg, Lawncrest, Mayfair, the Far Northeast, Oxford Circle, Rhawnhurst, Somerton, Tacony, Torresdale, and Wissinoming.
NEVS works in close collaboration with the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD), the City of Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office, the Philadelphia Police Department, and our Victim Advocate Officers in the 2nd, 7th, 8th, and 15th Police Districts. We are proud members of the Pennsylvania Coalition Against Violence (PCVA) and honored to collaborate with several other outstanding service organizations across the city and aligned networks dedicated to supporting victims and communities.
